About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Drone Interns to join our dynamic team. As a Drone Engineer, you will be involved in the design, development, testing, and operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and pilots to push the boundaries of drone technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development:
  • Design and develop innovative drone systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Integrate sensors, cameras, GPS, and other components into drone systems.
  • Develop embedded software and hardware systems to enhance drone functionality.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting:
    • Conduct flight tests to evaluate drone performance and safety.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to ensure proper functioning of drones.
    • Improve drone flight stability, efficiency, and endurance.
  • Collaboration & Innovation:
    • Work with cross-disciplinary teams including software developers, data scientists, and hardware engineers.
    • Develop and optimize algorithms for flight control, autonomy, and sensor data processing.
    • Stay up to date with advancements in drone technology and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintenance & Support:
    • Provide technical support for drone operations and maintenance.
    • Develop documentation for drone systems, including technical specifications and user manuals.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Knowledge and experience in drone design, engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience with UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) systems, flight controllers, and autopilot systems.
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for drone design.
    • Strong background in programming (Python, C++, or similar languages) for embedded systems and flight control systems.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of drone regulations (FAA guidelines, Part 107, etc.).
    • Experience with drone simulation software and flight planning tools.
    • Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., MAVLink, ROS).
    • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
